College Transition Support for Students with Disabilities at the Santa Rosa Junior College

Course Sequence: Three-part, credit-bearing courses supporting students with disabilities transitioning to college and navigate the college environment at the SRJC.


DRD 370A: Introduces SRJC resources, self-advocacy, accommodations, assistive technology, and college success strategies (time management, study skills, campus supports). Builds confidence and independence.
DRD 370B: Builds on Part A with deeper engagement in campus resources, executive functioning, self-management, and applying strategies to educational goals.
DRD 370C: Culminating experience emphasizing mastery and long-term academic success, planning, and resource access.

Fees: Standard mandatory fees (~$35/semester). High School Districts encouraged to fund students as it would potentially be a part of their transition planning. Alternative funding can be discussed with the DRD department.
