This training focuses on the development and writing of high-quality Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) within the IEP process.
Participants will review the legal requirements for transition planning and learn how to use age-appropriate assessments to inform measurable postsecondary goals. The session emphasizes how to write clear, outcome-oriented goals in the areas of education/training, employment, and independent living, and how to align transition services and annual IEP goals to support those outcomes.
Practical guidance, examples, and templates will be provided to strengthen the quality and compliance of ITPs, ensuring that they are student-centered, measurable, and actionable.
